Quick answer
For most seed-stage B2B startups, the cheapest serious CRM is the one whose startup program you qualify for. HubSpot (up to 90% off year one on Professional) and Attio (80% off the annual Pro plan in year one) publish the strongest startup discounts; Salesforce Launchpad offers discounts but does not publish the amounts. On list price alone, Pipedrive, Freshsales and monday CRM are the lowest-cost paid options. Outreach and Salesloft are not CRMs: they sit on top of one and are quote-based.
What do the main CRMs cost?
Prices as listed on vendor sites in October 2026, billed annually unless noted; check current pricing before you buy. All prices are in USD. Pipedrive and monday.com show local currency outside the US, so the figure you see may differ.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| HubSpot Sales Hub | Free | $0 (up to 2 users) | n/a | n/a |
| HubSpot Sales Hub | Starter | $20 list; shown at $7 as a discounted price when we checked | Monthly or annual | Not covered by the startup program (Professional and Enterprise only) |
| HubSpot Sales Hub | Professional | $100 list; $90 shown with annual commitment, plus a required one-time $1,500 onboarding fee | Monthly or annual | HubSpot for Startups: 90% off year one, 50% year two, 25% year three on net-new Professional or Enterprise products. Pre-seed to Series A, plus an approved partner or verified VC funding |
| HubSpot Sales Hub | Enterprise | $150, plus a required one-time $3,500 onboarding fee | See vendor site | Same program as Professional |
| Salesforce | Starter Suite | $25 | Monthly or annual | Salesforce Launchpad: free to join for venture-backed startups; discounts on Starter Suite, Pro Suite and Sales Cloud; amounts not published |
| Salesforce | Pro Suite | $100 | Annual | Launchpad, as above |
| Salesforce Sales Cloud | Core / Advanced / Max | $195 / $395 / $550 | Annual | Launchpad, as above |
| Pipedrive | Lite / Growth / Premium / Ultimate | $14 / $39 / $59 / $79 | Annual (monthly costs more) | No public startup program found |
| Attio | Free | $0 (up to 3 seats) | n/a | n/a |
| Attio | Plus | $35 ($44 monthly), up to 10 seats | Annual or monthly | Not the startup offer, which applies to Pro |
| Attio | Pro | $79 ($99 monthly) | Annual or monthly | 80% off annual Pro in year one, 30% in year two. Venture-backed or partner-affiliated, incorporated under 10 years, apply within 90 days of workspace creation, up to 10 seats |
| Freshsales | Growth / Pro / Enterprise | $9 / $39 / $59 | Annual | Freshworks has run a startup program; current terms are not on the pricing page, so ask Freshworks |
| monday CRM | Basic / Standard / Pro | $12 / $17 / $28 per seat, 3-seat minimum | Annual (monthly costs more) | No public startup program found |
| Outreach | Sales engagement | Quote-based | Quote | See vendor site |
| Salesloft | Sales engagement | Quote-based | Quote | See vendor site |
Two things the table does not show. First, AI features increasingly run on credits or add-ons (HubSpot Credits, Pipedrive add-ons such as LeadBooster), so the seat price is a floor, not the full bill. Second, startup discounts usually apply to new subscriptions only and step down each year, so model year two and year three, not just year one.
How do the startup programs actually compare?
HubSpot for Startups
The most generous published program for an early-stage company. The 90% tier needs pre-seed, seed or Series A funding (not Series B or later) and either affiliation with an approved HubSpot for Startups partner or verified venture funding. The discount covers net-new Professional or Enterprise products, which matters: Sales Hub Professional is where sequences, workflows and forecasting live. Bootstrapped founders without a partner affiliation may only reach the 30% tier through an approved entrepreneurial organization, or none at all.
Ask before you sign whether the one-time Professional onboarding fee is discounted, because the startup page does not say.
Salesforce Launchpad
Launchpad is free to join, aimed at venture-backed startups, and offers discounted Starter Suite, Pro Suite, Sales Cloud, Agentforce and Slack. Salesforce reviews applications to verify proof of funding. What it does not do is publish the discount, so treat any figure you read elsewhere as a starting point for a conversation, not a price.
Attio for startups
Attio's offer is clear and time-boxed: 80% off the annual Pro plan in year one, 30% off in year two, for workspaces up to 10 seats. The 90-day window from workspace creation is the catch. If you have been trialing Attio for a while, check whether you are still inside it.
Pipedrive, Freshsales and monday CRM
None of these showed a current, public startup discount on their own sites when we checked. Their pitch is a low list price instead. Freshworks has published startup program terms in the past, so it is worth emailing them, but do not budget on a discount you have not seen in writing.
What does year one really cost for a 3-seat team?
List prices only, before any startup discount, annual billing:
- HubSpot Sales Hub Professional: 3 x $90 x 12 = $3,240, plus $1,500 onboarding.
- Salesforce Pro Suite: 3 x $100 x 12 = $3,600.
- Attio Pro: 3 x $79 x 12 = $2,844.
- Pipedrive Growth: 3 x $39 x 12 = $1,404.
- Freshsales Pro: 3 x $39 x 12 = $1,404.
- monday CRM Standard: 3 x $17 x 12 = $612.
If you qualify for HubSpot's 90% tier or Attio's 80% Pro offer, their year-one subscription cost drops well below the list-price leaders. That flips the usual "HubSpot is expensive" assumption for funded seed companies, at least until the discount steps down.
Forced ranking for a seed-stage B2B startup
There is no single winner, so here is a forced ranking by the motion you actually run. It assumes 2 to 5 people touching the CRM and a US or UK buyer base. For the broader selection criteria, see the best CRM for startups.
Founder-led outbound
- HubSpot Sales Hub Professional, if you qualify for the startup program. Sequences, deal pipeline and reporting in one place, and most outbound tools integrate with it natively.
- Pipedrive. Fast to adopt, low list price, strong visual pipeline. Pair it with a dedicated sending tool for cold email.
- Attio. Flexible data model and fast setup; a good fit if you want to shape objects around how you sell.
- Freshsales. Low cost with built-in phone and email; check your integrations first.
- Salesforce Starter Suite. Capable, but more configuration than most founders want at this stage.
- monday CRM. Strongest if your team already runs on monday.com.
Product-led growth (PLG)
- Attio. Built to model product and usage data alongside accounts, with a clear startup offer.
- HubSpot, with the startup discount, if marketing and sales need one shared system.
- Salesforce Pro Suite, if a data team will own the integration.
- Pipedrive, Freshsales, monday CRM. Workable, but you will lean harder on integrations to bring product signals in.
Enterprise-bound (long cycles, security reviews, complex deals)
- Salesforce (Pro Suite, then Sales Cloud). The default in large-company procurement and RevOps hiring; apply to Launchpad first.
- HubSpot Professional or Enterprise. A credible option for upmarket deals, and the startup discount buys time.
- Attio Pro. Viable while the team is small; check reporting and permission needs against your roadmap.
- Pipedrive, Freshsales, monday CRM. Fine for now, but plan for a migration if procurement-heavy deals become the norm.

Where do Outreach and Salesloft fit?
Outreach and Salesloft are sales engagement platforms. They run multi-step sequences, dialing and rep task queues, and they write activity back into a CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot. They do not replace the CRM. Both route pricing through sales rather than publishing seat prices. At seed stage, most teams get enough sequencing from their CRM's sales plan or a lighter sending tool, and revisit Outreach or Salesloft once there is a dedicated SDR team. See how the pieces connect in the startup sales tech stack.
How to choose without overpaying
- Check eligibility first. Funding stage, partner affiliation and "new customer only" rules decide your real price more than the list price does.
- Model three years. Discounts step down; seat counts go up.
- Count the extras. Onboarding fees, AI credits and add-ons.
- Buy for the motion you run. Outbound-led, PLG and enterprise-bound teams rank these tools differently.
- Set it up properly. A cheap CRM with messy stages costs more in lost pipeline than any licence. Use the CRM setup checklist and our guide on how to set up a CRM.

- How much does a CRM cost for a seed-stage startup?
- For a team of two to five sellers, list prices on the mainstream CRMs run from free tiers up to roughly $100 per seat per month for a full sales plan, billed annually. HubSpot Sales Hub Professional also carries a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee. Startup programs can cut the first-year bill sharply if you qualify, so check eligibility before you compare list prices.
- What is the HubSpot for Startups discount?
- As listed on HubSpot's startup page in October 2026, eligible startups get 90% off year one, 50% off year two and 25% off year three on net-new Professional or Enterprise products. Eligibility is pre-seed, seed or Series A funding (not Series B or later) plus affiliation with an approved HubSpot for Startups partner or verified venture funding. A separate tier gives 30% off year one and 15% off year two through approved entrepreneurial organizations.
- Does Salesforce have a startup program?
- Yes. Salesforce Launchpad is free to join for venture-backed startups and offers discounted products including Starter Suite, Pro Suite and Sales Cloud. Salesforce does not publish the discount amounts on the Launchpad page, so you need to apply and confirm terms with them.
- Does Attio have a startup discount?
- Yes. Attio's startup page lists 80% off the annual Pro plan in year one and 30% off in year two, for venture-backed or partner-affiliated startups incorporated less than 10 years ago, applying within 90 days of creating a workspace, on workspaces of up to 10 seats.
- Are Outreach and Salesloft CRMs?
- No. Outreach and Salesloft are sales engagement platforms: they run sequences, calls and rep workflows on top of a CRM such as HubSpot or Salesforce. Neither publishes per-seat prices on its pricing page; both route you to sales for a quote.
